Sean H. writes: on Jul 08 2009 08:23 AM Is this the final sign of the Apocalypse? We'll never get to see the Four Horsemen in an X-men movie, mine as we'll see em' in real life... (Reply to this) |

whitey_mcwhite writes: on Jul 08 2009 08:39 AM I think it is, Sean H! Seriously, people actually thought this skit was funny enough to warrant a full movie?! God help us all! (Reply to this) |

The D. writes: on Jul 08 2009 10:39 AM Ummm...Member ...um...member when they used to make...um...movies about time traveling cars? And...um, and little aliens left behind that...that made us cry when they got rescued after their hearts lit up all red?... You member that? That was awesome. VISIT OUR www Hol (Reply to this) |

whitey_mcwhite writes: on Jul 08 2009 01:10 PM I think I'm getting tired of The D.'s tired comments. I could understand them when they were on threads dealing with reboots, but this isn't a reboot. Nice use of a George Lopez bit though! (Reply to this) |

whitey_mcwhite writes: on Jul 08 2009 01:11 PM P.S.-Member when they used to make movies based on SNL skits? Oh yeah, they've been doing that since the 70's when SNL started. (Reply to this) |

rockclmbr6 writes: on Jul 08 2009 02:32 PM I really didn't think the skit was funny enough as a skit, let alone a 90 minute movie... (Reply to this) |

Sean H. writes: on Jul 08 2009 04:59 PM Wasnt he the guy that helped kill "that 70's show" too? (Reply to this) |

Bob S. writes: on Jul 08 2009 06:05 PM This is a horrifically bad idea. The segment can't stand to be longer than a minute at most - a 90 minute film? Lorne Michaels won't stop as long as those residual checks from WAYNE'S WORLD keep rolling in. (Reply to this) |

Axl writes: on Jul 08 2009 11:41 PM as much of a lonely island fan boy i am i glad jorma's getting a chance to direct that being said this will probably lean more towards Superstar and It's Pat rather than Wayne's World and The Blues Brothers. if were lucky it will hit the middle ground of A Night at the Roxbury and Coneheads (Reply to this) |

The D. writes: on Jul 09 2009 06:26 AM Sorry McWhite. Didn't mean to rub you. Sometimes I get carried away. It's the result of working in an industry i love, that happens to be run by people I hate. I'll try not to offend further by keeping my comments to reboots only when plugging my site. I don't want to alienate a perspective core audience before the site's even officially launched. PS> It was actually (while I appreciated the shout out)a take on Chris Farley's skit with Paul McCartney.;) (Reply to this) |

whitey_mcwhite writes: on Jul 09 2009 10:26 AM In reply to this comment (#2524804) The D: No prob it's all good. I didn't get the Chris Farley reference because he pronounced the re- in remember, where George Lopez in his stand up always uses the "You member, member?" So I figured you were referencing Lopez. Lord Emwurst writes: on Jul 09 2009 10:38 AM I can see this working. I'm certain the film will be nothing like the sketch (Bomb is going to go off in 20 seconds, MacGruber gets distracted by something stupid). It will most likely be a more mature parody of MacGyver. And Will Forte is damn hilarious in anything he does (even crappy projects like The Brothers Solomon). Did you see Beer Fest? He made me laugh out loud every time he spoke or moved. I'm tentative, but optimistic. I hope Jorma can direct. (Reply to this) |
