Sleaze-tastic "Grind House" Trailer Hits The Net!
If you missed last night's Spike TV Scream Awards, you NEED to see the exclusive, awesome, limb-ripping, trailer for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double bill gore-fest, "Grind House" (Check out the promo posters here)!
The footage is up on (where else?) YouTube, and if you notice the excited screaming during the trailer, that's just the lucky folks in attendance at last night's Scream Awards peeing their pants at the glimpse of the awesomeness that will be "Grind House." Click here to watch.
"Grind House" is, of course, Tarantino and Rodriguez's cooperative homage to slasher cinema comprised of two separate films (Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" and Tarantino's "Death Proof") played together, complete with fake trailers.

Promo posters for "Grind House"'s movies-within-a-movie, "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof"
The trailer shown at the Spike TV Scream Awards is actually only for Rodriguez's half. "Planet Terror," which stars Marley Shelton, Rose McGowan, Naveen Andrews, Josh Brolin, Freddy Rodriguez, Nicky Katt, and The Black Eyed Peas' Fergie.
But it is bad ass.
Motorcycle chases! Amputations! Exploding bodies! Rose McGowan exotic dancing! And that's only in the first ten seconds.
Plus, catch a peek at a fake trailer starring Danny Trejo as "Machete." This movie is going to blow minds.
"Grind House" hits theaters April 6, 2007.

Crenshaw writes: on Oct 11 2006 01:04 PM Eh. Tomatometer Prediction: 27% Sorry, I love the directors and see where they are trying to go here. But it's too derivitive and trying too hard. This will take the same hype and blow road that Snakes on a Plane took. Hope I'm wrong. Let the flames directed toward me commence. (Reply to this) |

digitalsoul68 writes: on Oct 11 2006 01:28 PM I love the gritty feel of it. Reminds me of my childhood and those crazy trailers I would watch in the run-down theater we went to see flicks. Interesting stuff. I'm going to reserve judgement until I actually see it. But Tarantino rarely fails to impress (except Jackie Brown). (Reply to this) |

Reeven writes: on Oct 12 2006 12:26 PM Tom Savini, Michael Parks and Naveen Andrews? I didn't realize they were in this! This has only reaffirmed in my mind that this will be an incredibly fun movie. QT is overrated in my eyes, but maybe he can show me what goes on past all the trying-too-hard dialouge of his. (Reply to this) |
