Estevez ... Hopkins ... Demi ... and Bobby Kennedy?
by Scott Weinberg | August 26, 2005
Discuss Article
Emilio Estevez will return to the writing/directing gig (a job he hasn't held since that days of "Men at Work" and "Wisdom") to bring "Bobby" to life, says Variety.

Anthony Hopkins and Demi Moore are in talks to star in the film, which will focus on the last days of politician Bobby Kennedy and his 1968 assassination.

The story "is about how the lives of those at the hotel that evening intersected." The "movie will take place against the backdrop of the cultural issues gripping the country at the time, including racism, sexual inequality and class differences."

The project is being backed by Edward Bass and his Bold Films outfit, the forces behind Joey Lauren Adams' upcoming directorial debut, "Come Early Morning."

It will be nice to see Moore again and Hopkins is always great but I really would prefer a different director. As for a movie on Bobby Kennedy, I've been expecting that for awhile.
