Apparently Paramount and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura commissioned a "G.I. Joe" script from "Swordfish" screenwriter Skip Woods -- and someone out there is really furious about it.

A few new "Indiana Jones 4" tidbits are hitting the 'net lately, and most of 'em are pretty juicy indeed.

- Cuba Gooding Jr. will produce and star in the teen comedy "Harold," with T. Sean Shannon writing and directing.
- Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the film rights to Irish author Derek Landy's book "Skulduggery Pleasant," as well as future titles in the potential nine-book series.
- Alfred Molina has joined Kate Bosworth in writer/director Agnieszka Vosloo's supernatural thriller "After.Life."
- Sam Neill has joined Ethan Hawke in "Daybreakers," a futuristic vampire thriller from Australian horror auteurs Peter and Michael Spierig.
- Warner Independent Pictures has signed Lodge Kerrigan to write and direct "Thieves," an English-language remake of the French film "Les Voleurs."
- "The Simpsons" writer and co-producer Dana Gould will develop a zombie comedy tentatively titled "The Last Larry" for Comedy Central that he will write and star in.
- 20th Century Fox will bring a live-action film of the computer game "The Sims" to the big-screen.
- Nicolas Cage has dropped out of "The Untouchables: Capone Rising," Brian De Palma's "Untouchables" prequel, due to a scheduling conflict.
- Sandra Bullock will return to the romantic comedy fold, starring in Touchstone Pictures' "The Proposal."

It really makes very little sense to do this, unless it's done as a surreal sort of thing featuring people in the game itself as live actors, with some sadistic gamer being their god. Either way it's dumb. Some of the people supposedly tapped to work on it have previously worked on things like Norbit, When A Stranger Calls, Scary Movie 3, and Eragon - all stinkers.
