martinscorsese25 writes: on Jul 09 2009 06:19 AM WB has no choice. they have to make Superman:Man of Steel now. my advice, bring on the Wachowskis. Singer had his time. obviously he's very good at Sequels(X-2), but ****ing up Superman is just unforgivable, and he knows it. thats why he's not campaigning himself for another movie. BUCK69 writes: on Jul 09 2009 09:54 AM A lot of people say that they don't care about this, but these discussions nearly always end-up being the longest and most involved. WB has to move quick to keep its options open. That, to me, indicates that a Singer/Routh reteam is the best bet. I thought that Superman Returns was great. But by now the most common objections are well-known: Go a little darker, do that by killing-off the kid; toss in a lot more action [some kind of epic battle between a more threatening villain]; and tone-down the sentiment. Singer and Routh can do all of the above and do it well. (Reply to this) |

jokerboy1991 writes: on Jul 09 2009 11:35 AM I still say bring Singer back, thats what I would want to see. Remember when he said he would go all wrath of Khan with the sequel? That got me excited. Buck69- Yes that super kid wasn't needed. (Reply to this) |

Shaun822 writes: on Jul 09 2009 06:49 PM Okay here we go 6 second Superman script that uses Superman Returns, because god we all hate remakes. 1 - Luthor stabbed Superman in the back his blood falls onto the still growing and manipulating island - bam there's your Bizzaro from his DNA and the magic crystals 2 - The chunk of land is floating in space activates Brainiac because suddenly there is a "Krypton" 3 - Bizzaro is a dark and twisted, emphasis on the dark, version of Superman, have him played by someone else though, and he kills the kid some how, there's the unnecessary dark everyone thinks will work 4 - Bizzaro obviously threatens the earth, that writes itself 5 - Brainiac thinks the Earth is a danger to "new krypton" again it writes itself 6 - Superman some how tricks Bizzaro and Brainiac into destroying the magical floating land mass, Bizzaro dies, and Brainiac without a Krytpon moves on Come on WB chop chop I came up with this garbage on the fly surely you must be able to come up with something worthy of Superman. (Please my god no body begin to point out all the problems with this, I really just spit it out on the fly and realize all the continuity issues.) (Reply to this) |

Xavier Telouran writes: on Jul 10 2009 09:10 AM With great deference to those that have already spoken, I believe that a I'm tired of this whiney, impotent Luthor. Why is the "greatest criminal mind of our time" flat broke all the time? They need to get to the "ruthless genius with unlimited resources" the comics and cartoons have been milking for the last two decades. I'll give them my six ideas, but first I'll need an agent, a lawyer, and a nondisclosure agreement. Don't want them stealing it like what happened to the guy who wrote that one "Rocky" movie... James M. writes: on Jul 11 2009 05:38 AM Warners Brothers took a comic strip cartoon and turned it into a fine series of films for the most part. Instead of being grateful, the heirs who had NOTHING to do with creating Superman, saw dollar signs and want money, money and more money even though they had NOTHING to do with the movies. Zip. The 2 original creators were given a nice bonus out of the kindness of Warner Brothers, they didn't have to pay them a penny. However, the heirs want to sit on their butts and collect money for a creation they weren't even alive when it was thought up and they haven't contributed one thing to since. They have done nothing but sue out of pure greed and with no appreciation for what Warner Brothers has done for their fathers. (Reply to this) |
