Gemma Arterton Chosen as Daniel Craig's Girl for Bond 22?
Plus: New photos from the set.
Once it's been established who's actually playing the martini-loving Agent 007, the three biggest questions surrounding any Bond film are -- in no particular order -- what car he's going to drive, which cool new gadgets he'll get to use, and who the new "Bond girl" will be. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the last of those questions has been answered for the forthcoming Bond 22.
Though the question of whether or not she's to be the film's main Bond girl is apparently still open for debate, the Reporter claims that Gemma Arterton has signed on for the part of "Fields" -- described as "a nice-sized role" -- in Bond 22. The article refers to Arterton as a "British newcomer," and that's pretty accurate -- her largest credit to date has been a role in St. Trinian's, described as a film "about the madcap adventures of a group of unruly girls at a boarding school."

Gimy writes: on Jan 07 2008 08:26 AM she looks decent. at least she doesn't look as bad as eva green. i still miss the old bond flavor, this one is just second fiddle to Bourne. its not a bad series by any means but its certainly not "bond". (Reply to this) |

Hamboner writes: on Jan 07 2008 10:17 AM I am getting sick of all of these people's Raging Bourners (say it aloud... I think it's kinda clever). After the Bourne Identity, I found the films a bit flat. And yeah, Casino Royale was better than all of them. (Reply to this) |

Gimy writes: on Jan 07 2008 10:56 AM i mean HAD AN IDENTITY. this bond is nothing special. the lead is no different than transporter or to a lesser extent, bourne. it doesn't have that special appeal ALL other bond films had. its just unoriginal now. they should find a medium between the "campy" sh3t and the serious stuff, to me they're making the series a copycat of a regular action spy. it doesn't have the same appeal as it did before. i'm all for a serious bond but, he had no special qualities whatsoever...making him a regular action character. whats so special about that? while it was an entertaining film...i just hope they bring out the "bond" in the character and not make him some regular action hero. and no, thats not clever nor catchy dude...sorry. PornAgainChristian writes: on Jan 07 2008 11:18 AM Yes, please, another boring 'rebooted' Bond movie with a 'super-spy' who looks like Skeletor and is so incompetent he can't even follow someone without being spotted. Oh, and please make him cry again and tongue-kiss a dead girl. So lame. (Reply to this) |
