LAST FLIGHT OUT: Ann Williams (Bobbie Phillips, SHOWGIRLS) is a missionary doctor working in Alto Risco, a small village deep within the Columbian jungle. As violence in the area escalates and drug runners and guerillas close in upon the village, Ann refuses to leave, knowing that her place is with the innocent civilians who need her help. But Ann's family back home is growing increasingly worried, and her father (Cliff DeYoung, SUICIDE KINGS) enlists the help of her ex-boyfriend, Dan Hogan (Richard Tyson, BLACK HAWK DOWN), to bring her to safety. A former pilot, Dan has fallen into disgrace and now works in repossession, but he agrees to fly into the jungle, hoping against hope to save the woman he once loved. Guided by a talkative missionary dentist he picks up at a fuel stop (Adriano Gonzalez, HAVANA), Dan's journey becomes one of danger and redemption. Exposed to the faith of the missionaries, Dan starts to rethink his own disbelief in the face of God's strength. This evangelical actioner is produced by the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, and in addition to its strong religious message, it boasts fine performances, high production values, and breathtaking location footage shot in Puerto Rico. SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT: Tommy (Darius McCrary) is a troubled young man with a history of crime. When he meets Memaw, an elderly lady, the two form a special bond, with Memaw encouraging Charlie to sing in the local church choir, a talent he has ignored until now. While Charlie excels in church, his old friend G. Smooth remains skeptical and stays on the streets. SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT is a heartwarming film with a lot of spirit and some great singing talent on display. Featuring a cameo by Reverend Billy Graham. ROAD TO REDEMPTION: Amanda Tucker (Julie Condra) gets in trouble with mobsters after a moneymaking scheme goes sour, and she decides to look to the only relative she has: her absentminded grandfather (Pat Hingle). As she and her grandfather travel to Redemption, Montana, Amanda's naive boyfriend teams up with a pair of mob hitmen to track her down. The ragtag groups encounter one wacky situation after another, but along the way a valuable lesson is learned about finding redemption. [More]
