Vin Diesel, Paul Walker Still Fast, Furious
Franchise's deep subtext and unanswered questions to be explored, resolved.
You probably thought they had slowed down and mellowed out, but no: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are just a few strokes of the pen away from a Fast and the Furious reunion.
Also bound to make fans of the franchise happy is the news that Justin Lin and Chris Morgan, the director and writer who brought you Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, will be on board for the fourth installment, which is almost certainly not going to be called Live Fast or Die Furious. Further relevant details, from the article:
The storyline is being kept under wraps, but fast cars are involved. A spring start is anticipated with shooting in Los Angeles, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
If you're anything like our own Jen Yamato, you're reading this news and squealing "HECK YES!" Others of us remain mystified as to the source of Diesel's appeal, but it's the cars, after all, that are the stars of these movies -- and as long as fast ones are involved, this thing will doubtless make enough money to justify yet another sequel.

They had a dumb charm I hated to embrace but what can one do. Same for Vin. I have no idea why I kind of like him. He isn't exactly the best actor. I never like the ladder aspects of 'True Hollywood Stories' is all. I like the rise, not the fall. (Reply to this) |
